Dietetic Assistant

The Dietetic Assistant maintains diet office systems, uses the Rush Oak Park Hospital computer system, responds to patients' tray inquiries/requests and acts as a liason between the patient and nurse and Food & Nutrition Service Department providing meal service to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Candidate must have a High School diploma or GED plus 3 months to 1 year experience. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in a professional manner with patients, hospital staff and guests. Basic mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to implement clinical diet restrictions. Ability to work independently plus computer skills desirable.
