Director, Quality Management:

 

A nationwide healthcare staffing firm providing nursing and allied health professionals in per diem, travel, and permanent placement positions to over 1,500 hospitals and healthcare facilities is seeking a Director of Quality Management.

 

The Director of Quality Management will be responsible for planning, administering and implementing all quality management and improvement processes in support of corporate-wide staffing operations. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Manages corporate relationship with JCAHO and the accreditation process for the JCAHO Healthcare Staffing Services Certification.Directs a team of 7 Compliance Coordinators responsible for screening and qualifying all nurses, therapists, and healthcare personnel prior to working on assignment.  This qualification process includes reviewing medical, licensure, professional, and performance evaluations to ensure healthcare professionals are properly qualified for their work assignments.Implements quality improvement plans and sets policies, procedures and programs corporate wide that are in compliance with client, federal, state and JCAHO requirements & guidelines.Conducts quarterly audits of the employee credentialing / compliance process for branch offices.Studies and document, on an on-going basis, performance improvement activities including evaluation of healthcare staff.Establishes continuing education and training for field staff specifically on health and safety issues.Stays current on state/federal laws, regulatory agency requirements for healthcare organizations related to quality management.Performs investigations and root cause analysis on serious and sentinel events.Follows up on all quality issues to resolution.Develops annual strategic Quality Plans/Initiatives.

 Requirements:

 Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred. Degree in Nursing, Health Admin/Public Health preferred.Prior experience and clear working knowledge of JCAHO, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Quality Management process and procedures.Excellent computer skills.Must be able to deal with high stress environment and be able to assemble large volumes of data in an organized, understandable format. This position requires a high degree of organizational skills.
