Director of Materials Management Operations

Directs the operation of materials management for Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital.  Leads and coordinates key strategic development and functional services to support department objectives and organizational goals.  Manages department finances, including budgeting and control of salary, non-salary, and capital investment expenses.  Manages professional and clerical staff, including day-to-day supervision, employee relations and staff development.  Maintains effective and responsive relationships with patients, attending medical staff and other departments.

 

Requirements

Five years experience in the development and management of material management programs in a hospital or healthcare facility required.  Two years management experience required. Certification and licensure may be required for specific functional areas.  Proficiency in verbal and written English required.  Excellent customer service skills required.

 

Education RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent management experience required.
