Director of Program Development and Training

The Arthritis Foundation, Eastern PA Chapter seeks a seasoned professional with a strong track record of performance in community partnership development and health program management to serve as Director of Program Development and Training.  Primary responsibilities will include assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of educational and health promotion programs as well as volunteer recruitment/management.

 

This position is based in Philadelphia, PA however other program positions may be available that will provide support to Wilkes Barre and Lehigh Valley, PA.

 

Bachelor's degree in public health, exercise science, health education or related field plus three to five years experience in a health related field, arthritis experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have program development, curriculum design and project management experience, along with program evaluation skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently; and ability to manage and motivate volunteers.  Experience working in a voluntary health agency helpful.  Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
