Director of Quality Management and Nursing Information Systems

As a member of the senior nursing management team and in collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals, you will foster an environment of continuous learning and professional development by directing Quality Management, Performance Improvement and Regulatory Affairs programs within Nursing. Responsibilities include the development, implementation and evaluation of annual Nursing Quality Assessment and Improvement Programs, ensure departmental compliance with NYS DOH regulations, JCAHO standards and other regulatory requirements, oversee the development and implementation of information systems to support clinical practice and divisional business functions and participate in the development and review of hospital IS strategic planning as it relates to clinical systems. Also serve as the Nursing Compliance Officer as a focal point and liaison for all billing compliance issues within the department of nursing.



Requirements include a BSN and Masters degree in Nursing, healthcare administration or a related field required. NYS RN registration and appropriate specialty certification required, CPHQ preferred. A minimum of ten years of progressive quality management, including five (5) years in a major academic teaching hospital, and direct experience with evaluating and implementing clinical IT systems required. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)
