Director of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review

About Us:
We are a progressive acute-care facility and medical center that serves South King and North Pierce counties. The facility is licensed for 149 beds, and our medical staff represents nearly 30 specialties and subspecialties.

Responsibilities:

? Responsible for planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the needs of the hospital.

? Provides education to medical staff, hospital staff and Governing Body.

? Facilitates performance improvement activities and CQI activities throughout the hospital.

? Acts as resource person to administrative team, department managers and medical staff.

? Performs clinical risk management functions. Assists department managers with preparation for medical staff committees.

? Oversight responsibility for all regulatory body surveys, i.e., JCAHO, State Licensing Review, CMS Validation surveys.

? Maintains oversight responsibility for all performance improvement activities conducted throughout the institution.

? Focus on case management and utilization review.

 

Requirements:

? Current RN licensure in State of Washington.

? CPHQ certification preferred.

? Additional course work in performance improvement.

? 3 or more years of previous experience in acute care nursing.

? Previous experience in performance improvement activities preferred.
