DOCUMENTATION & TRAINING SPECIALIST
TeamHealth is committed to strengthening hospitals, supporting physicians and improving healthcare.We have an opening in our Knoxville, TN corporate office for a Documentation & Training Specialist in the Hospital Medicine division. This position is responsible fo managing education/training programs that encompass research and development of policies, training physicians regarding coding/documentation, presenting to leadership and supervising the coding compliance and quality assurance program. Additionally, will develop and implement an operations policy manual. Requirements:
? National overnight travel (50-60%)
? BA/BS degree related field, Master?s degree a plus
? AAPC, AHIMA certification or commitment to obtain
? 3-5 years experience in hospital medicine chart audit, utilization review or quality assurance experience required, previous experience working directly with physicians preferred
? Excellent understanding of Medicare, CPT coding rules, understanding of medical terminology
? Experience with group presentations
