EMS Operations Manager

 

The job duties of EMS Operations Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:

 Participate as an active member of the leadership team in the Operations Department.Directs the EMS Programs while continuing to meet all department requirements and documentation to maintain EMS status and regulatory requirements.Assists the Clinical Compliance and Training Manager with the scheduling, planning and conducting of  all monthly QA/QI, education and business meetings for the EMS Department.Oversees all aspects of EMS & Disaster Programs and maintains fiscal responsibility for programs. Directs identification, clinical evaluation, and tracking of EMS service runs.Responsible for quality assessment of patient care to include assisting with design and development of QA indicators, active participation to outcome review, initial screening for peer review issues, and maintaining protocols.Maintaining that all EMS data and QA activities comply with state and national guidelines.Provides on-going statistical reports and assists with developing specialized reports.Serves as a liaison between the EMS service and all other departments.Oversees the Injury Prevention Program and assists the Clinical Compliance and Training Manager with education.Manages EMS personnel.Makes recommendations to improve utilization of service and staff.Must be able to analyze run reports to evaluate patient care and review for compliance with appropriate standards.

 

 

Qualifications:Must be a Certified ParamedicMust have at least 3 years recent (within the last 3 years) management experience in emergency medicine services.Must have effective verbal communication skills in order to interact in a clear, concise manner with staff and management as well as excellent computer skills.Must be skilled in time management in order to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
