Emergency Management Coordinator

Harris County Hospital District is one of the largest hospital systems in the country, providing comprehensive medical services to the Houston metropolitan area. The District consists of three state-of-the-art acute care hospitals, thirteen health centers, public school-based clinics, and a freestanding HIV/AIDS clinic. Requirements:

 

Associate's Degree in a Healthcare related field, Computers or Business Administration. and one (1) year Emergency Management, Disaster Preparedness experience or have knowledge of the Bioterrorism industry.  Demonstrates knowledge of the HEICS (Hospital Emergency Incident Command Systems)  process/concept and coordination of disaster drills.  One (1) - two (2) years experience with managing emergency/disaster projects.

 

Other skills:  analytical, CRT, mathematics, medical terms, research, statistical, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, PeopleSoft (a plus), and Typing 45 - 50 wpm. 

 

Position requires: lifting, carrying 20 lbs., pushing, pulling up to 20 lbs., bending, stooping, reading above shoulder level, driving automatic equipment, walking, standing, and sitting.
