Job Description:



This position is for a day shift environmental tech, the primary duty and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


the use of various chemicals to perform the 10 steps cleaning process in patient, public and ancillary areas of the hospital.  Cleaning includes floor care of hard and carpeted surfaces.  Primarily responsible for the collection and distribution of linen.  This involves collecting soiled linen and properly transporting it to a collection area.  Position may also include the collection of trash both biohazard us and regular using proper techniques and handling of waste.  Individual must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time while pulling or pushing a soiled linen cart or trash cart.  Position includes some very light out door work in the form of collecting trash from outside trash receptacles and sweeping and maintaining of entrances and sidewalks.  A successful candidate for this position will possess the ability to work as part of a team while being able to perform their assigned tasks independently.  Good communication skills are a must.  The ability to read, write, speak and understand English is a must and bilingual ability is a plus.
