GHRS Health Policy Manager

Job Description -- Health Policy Manager PricewaterhouseCoopers Human Resource Services (HRS) practice is one of the world?s largest HR, actuarial, and tax consulting businesses, with over 4,000 professionals worldwide. We currently have an opportunity for a Health Policy Manager within our Healthcare Practice in our San Francisco, CA office.

As a key member of our San Francisco based national Health Policy consulting team, you will work closely with PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants and external clients to assess costs of health care programs and assist states in devising solutions to the growing cost of health care.

Responsibilities Include:
? Function as a key member of our San Francisco based Health Policy consulting team
? Provide healthcare consulting services to our government clients, primarily in the areas of Medicaid managed care, Medicaid expansion populations, public employee health insurance, insurance reform, emerging health insurance products (such as consumer directed health plans), and the structure of insurance markets
? Manage various projects related to the cost of providing health insurance to special populations, including oversight of complex data analysis and actuarial calculations, and development of written reports for public review
? Play an active role in business development
? Assist in training junior staff in analytic methods and consulting skills

Bachelor?s degree in combination with a recognized actuarial designation (ASA, FSA, and/or MAAA) or Master?s degree in an appropriate field, including health care finance, health policy, health care finance and others.

Job Requirement Essential

Requirements include:
? 9+ years of experience in health insurance, especially managed care, with strong skills in areas such as pricing, reserving, and other actuarial and public policy analysis. Medicaid experience is preferred.
? Project management skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Moderate travel
? Satisfaction of credentialing requirement includes:
? Bachelor?s degree in combination with a recognized actuarial designation (ASA, FSA, and/or MAAA) or
? Master?s degree in an appropriate field, including health care finance, health policy, health care finance and others
? Experience in detailed data analysis (SAS experience is a plus)
? Experience in developing staff
