Grievance & Appeals Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Grievance and Appeals Specialist.  This position ensures timely and accurate resolution of grievances and appeals consistent with organizational policies and procedures and compliant with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing appeals, generating all appropriate letters, maintaining accurate case files and documenting updates to the online tracking system. 

 

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years health insurance experience, preferably in a grievance and appeals role. Other relevant experience includes knowledge of medical terminology and standard code sets and exceptional research, analytical, writing and customer service skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Medicare background preferred.
