StayWell, the premier provider of integrated health promotion, behavior change, and training programs, is seeking Health Coaches for our health promotion call center.

 

A Next Steps-Health Coach has the primary responsibility to facilitate lifestyle behavior

change with participants enrolled in our StayWell telephone based programs.  They are

required to provide an explanation of the telephone program to participants and

determine appropriateness for participation, to maintain a facilitative approach when

working with participants, to keep calls focused and targeted according to StayWell

objectives, to determine participant?s readiness to make changes and assist accordingly,

to assist the participant in setting stage-matched appropriate goals, to assist the participant in locating resources / programs, to guide the participant in understanding the responsibility of their choices and the change process, to document participant progress accurately using the StayWell Health Guide system, to work efficiently towards department goals regarding call rates and to work shifts as scheduled, attend monthly staff meetings, participate in training sessions.

 

A Bachelors degree in a health related field is a must, a Maters degree is preferred.

A minimum of 3 years health-related experience, strong knowledge of specific disease

and lifestyle related topics, experience with the stage of change application, excellent

written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency needed.  Benefits include vacation, holidays and 401K.  Friendly work environment with casual dress five days per week.  These positions are both part-time and full-time second shift positions.  PT evening shifts from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  FT shifts range from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
