We are seeking Health Educators for our Department:

This position is responsible for providing phone-based education and support to members utilizing the Healthyroads for Living program. This position involves providing support and coaching to members, assessing the member?s health-related goals and working with the member to develop a plan to reach those goals.

 

Educator I: Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor?s degree in Psychology, Nutrition or health related field.  Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or other related health certification strongly desired.  Any certification and/or licensure must be current and unrestricted.

 

Educator III: Qualified applicants will be a Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, or hold a Master?s degree in a health related field.  Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or other related health certification strongly desired.  Any certification and/or licensure must be current and unrestricted.  Experience with routine and intensive medical nutrition therapy or active knowledge of nutritional supplements, including basic knowledge of western herbal medicine and herbal nomenclature desirable.  Experience working with medical doctors and active referral systems.  On the job experience coordinating projects, original writing of technical documents.  Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a supportive client-focused environment for behavior change, basic psychological acumen, excellent communication skills in both oral and written form, ability to manage a heavy caseload, ability to maintain thorough and confidential records of client progress, excellent telephone manner and basic computer literacy and word processing skills.

 

Qualified applicants will also posses excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide superior customer service and maintain cooperative working relationships; strong organizational and time management skills; and the ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.  Applicants should be passionate about educating and helping others to make positive behavioral changes.
