Health and Safety Manager - CCI

Description:
This Health and Safety position will work in the Portand office and will support our Environmental business group. Travel to project sites may be required as needed. Responsible for moderately complex technical work in a wide range of HS&E disciplines to achieve compliance with CH2M HILL's HS&E standards and regulatory requirements. Works under very general direction and independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Develops, implements and maintains programs systems and procedures necessary to ensure safety and health of employees and the community. Will conduct project audits. Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures and operations to minimize hazard potential. Monitors and prevents chemical, physical and biological hazards and diseases that could be present in the work place. Conducts audits of HS&E program implementation to identify areas needing improvement. May act as lead person or technical expert and provide direction to less experienced personnel.

Qualifications:
Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or related field desired. Experience required: MS and more than 3 years; BS and more than 5 years; more than 8 years experience with no degree. CIH or CSP preferred. Must have Construction industry experience. Requires good communication and computer skills. Must be able to travel. Requires current 40-hr Hazardous Waste training or annual refresher. Background check and drug test required.
