Hospital Medicine Information Manager


TeamHealth is committed to strengthening hospitals, supporting physicians and improving healthcare.  We have an opening in our Knoxville, TN corporate office for a Hospital Medicine Information Manager to initiate data capture and ongoing management of Hospital Medicine (HM) clinical, financial and quality data and comparison of this data among other HM programs.  Additionally, this position is responsible for the successful implementation of handheld electronic technology (containing and transmitting provider documentation), physician decision support, and monitoring and overseeing day-to-day activities with HM; will coordinate the successful implementation of this technology to all new and existing clients.

 

This position will manage and be responsible for implementation and ongoing execution of HM Dashboard initiative, this position will lead both the development of additional reporting but also manage integration of multiple data approaches into a common TH platform; coordinate vendor/client  interaction; verify client hardware and network infrastructure; ensure connectivity issues have been identified and resolved; receive and maintain necessary training and credentials for ?super user? status as determined by vendors; oversee user testing of software to ensure smooth installation of upgrades; monitor/coordinate installation of data capture solutions and underlying technology; troubleshoot and report issues to ensure successful resolution and other related functions.

 

Requirements:

 

? National travel ? up to 50%, (including 10% weekend work)

?  BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related field; Master?s degree or CPA preferred;

?  Minimum four years software and relevant hardware delivery, installation and configuration;

?  Physician office information technology, or healthcare information technology experience a plus;

  hospital decision support role experience preferred

?  Microsoft Windows platforms, MS SQL Server and/or associated platform products required;

?  Knowledge of LAN/WAN, hardware and peripherals (handheld electronic technology a plus);

?  Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database experience

  preferred

?  Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and rapidly growing organization

?  Excellent communication, organization and team skills

?  Excellent customer relationship and project management skills
