Insurance Specialist

Responsibilities:


1.  Communicate in a professional and ?customer-friendly? manner in handling calls with patients referring physician offices, manufacturing partners, fellow associates and other personnel involved.
2.  Review Enrollment Referral Form for completeness and verify new patient insurance benefits.
3.  Transmit PBM claims accurately to verify prescription card coverage.
4.  Document a detailed description of benefits in the appropriate database on a daily basis.
5.  Prepare and submit pre-determinations and authorizations as requested by insurance companies.
6.  Other duties as assigned by Management



Qualifications:


1. Minimum high school diploma

2. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and health plan designs
3. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
4. Ability to enter data with exceptional accuracy. 
5. Recent experience with insurance verification, health care benefits assessment and paperwork
