Intellectual Property Assistan

Adecco's client seeks to hire an intellectual property IP)aAssistant (IP Assistant) to be based in Alpharetta. The IP Assistant will assist in a broad array of intellectual property matters. The position will be a member of the Intellectual Property Group of the Legal Department and will assist with prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of McKesson’s intellectual property rights domestically and internationally, including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and patents. The position will involve filing electronic or paper-based applications, maintaining registrations, tracking nondisclosure agreements, assisting in IP due diligence and presentations, managing an IP filing system and docketing database, supporting IP litigation efforts, monitoring deadlines for time sensitive correspondence with USPTO/TTAB, and providing general administrative support to the Intellectual Property Group.

Candidates must have an excellent academic background and significant domestic and international intellectual property experience with a top law firm and/or corporate legal department. IP prosecution and enforcement experience in the technology industry is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Candidates must have advanced PC skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of CPI or Foundation IP docketing systems is preferred.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. Candidates must have effective oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be self-starters, resourceful, and collaborative in a team-oriented environment.
