POSITION DESCRIPTION:

1. Contacts physician?s office to verify patient information and follow up on required paperwork according to Medicare guidelines.

2. Prepares Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN) packets and Company brochures for distribution to appropriate physicians? offices.

3. Follows up to confirm receipt of package and/or faxes and develops relationship with physicians? staff for return of requested forms.

4. Handles facsimiles to request information and/or reconsider patient?s qualifications for product.

5. Analyzes responses received and determines re-evaluation needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. RN, LPN, PCT, CNA, RT, PTA, OTA, PT or OT preferred

2. 1-4 years of experience in the medical field

3. Knowledge of ICD-9 coding as it relates to disease process

4. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

6. Computer literacy in a Windows environment, with an emphasis on data entry
