MUMPS Programmer and IDX

Pittsburgh has an immediate need to fill 12 Mumps programmers for a client here in Pittsburgh, PA (Coventry Healthcare/First Health).



Client is open to 6 months Contract-to-Hire for all positions. Client is also open to a TELECOMMUTING situation.

 Client would like to start candidates within 2 weeks.

 MUMPS/M programming language and IDX managed care software programmers:

Performs development and maintenance programming and associated tasks for application systems, including integrated software and hardware application configurations. Analyzes business process to define application functional requirements and technical specifications. Able to direct and participate in software/hardware release and installation tasks. May provide specific guidance to others on complex assignments.

 Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Significant experience (usually 3-5 years) in all phases of applications software development/maintenance life cycles in a large mainframe or client server environment preferred. Demonstrate excellence in technical skills and technical knowledge required in one or more higher level programming languages respective to various mainframe or client server programming development

environments. Experience with the Mumps/M programming language and IDX managed care software is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA X12 standards and healthcare enrollment is a plus. Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis,

verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.). Understanding of health care business and care delivery processes preferred.

 Location: This position can be filled in Pittsburgh, PA; or CONSULTANT CAN TELECOMMUTE
