Manager, Dedicated Authorization Group

 
PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the functions of the Dedicated Authorization Group, to include development and implementation of policies  and process related to Insurance Verification. This position will cross train and coordinate efforts with the Patient Service Representatives to ensure teamwork with all supporting staff, including individual responsibilities as assigned to a Dedicated Authorization Group Associate. The Manager of DAG uses resources efficiently and effectively to achieve customer satisfaction and maximize revenue capture.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Assumes managerial responsibility of the Dedicated Authorization Group.  Responsible for the recruiting, orienting, training, evaluating and counseling of personnel.

2. Prepares and monitors operating budgets, provides monthly written variance analysis.

3. Develops, organizes and implements the activities of DAG to promote and provide efficient and professional service.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

I. Education, Training and Experience

Required:
1. High School diploma or equivalent completed courses.
2. Prior relevant work experience in a physician?s office or insurance industry.
3. 3-5 years supervisory experience.
4. Associates or Bachelor?s Degree, or working towards.

Preferred:
1. 5+ years relevant work experience
