Manager of Neurology & Developmental Medicine

BA/BS in Business, Accounting or Life Sciences

The Kennedy Krieger Institute's Department of Neurology is seeking a Manager who will be responsible for the daily operations of the Neurology and Development Medicine Department.

Responsibilities: All facets of daily supervision of administrative staff, including scheduling leave approval, monitoring overtime, maintaining performance management systems and fostering a collaborative team approach to managing the medical programs and clinics. Provide leadership, guidance and support to administrative staff by managing and assisting in the physician support role, to include staffing effectiveness, patient care, telephone coverage, managing projects, maintaining files and obtaining patient records. Liaison with support departments to meet the daily operating needs and to ensure compliance with all policies, rules, laws and regulations. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of all grants and contracts. Analyze budgetary trends and make recommendations to program directors. Requirements: BA/BS in business, accounting or life sciences preferred; supervisory experience combined with experience managing budgets, grants and contracts may substitute for education. At least 2 years supervisory experience. Experience in private practice medical administration, rehabilitation operations, or in an acute care hospital preferred.
