Job Description:

Performs pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes for moderate and high complexity testing for waived, moderate, and high complexity testing.
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.

 

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an approved training program and registry eligible.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
Basic computer data entry skills.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in medical technology or in a biological or chemical science

 

License/Certification:

Technologist (MT) with the American Society Technologist for Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or equivalent.
