Medicare - Implementation Project Manager

The Implementation Director will lead the implementation activities for transfer of Medicare workload from multiple incumbent Medicare contractors to the new MAC contractor.  This position eports to the Medicare Administrative Contract (MAC) Program Manager.

 



Requirements

Work Experience:  A minimum of six years experience as a Project Manager, with recent past experience managing Medicare workload transitions, systems conversions or other large scale workload transitions.  Three years experience working within Medicare operations.

Education:  Bachelors Degree.

 

Preferred Work ExperienceExperience in developing a comprehensive workload transition plan for government healthcare operationsParticipation in a workload transition between Medicare contractsFamiliar with content of the Medicare Workload Implementation HandbookPrevious management position within a Medicare contactor operations

Job Responsibilities:MAC proposal preparation to include development of comprehensive workload implementation plans for transition of Medicare workloads from each incumbent contractor in the jurisdiction to the new MAC.Transition activities will commence with contract award for each MAC award cycle and continue through the Jurisdiction Operational Start Date until all implementation activities are completed (approximately one year per cycle). Supervise Segment Implementation Managers and oversee implementation process for each segment for successful transition of all workload functions to the new MAC.Workload Implementation Requirements include:Develop, execute, and maintain a Jurisdiction Implementation Project Plan.Carry out the orderly transfer of all Medicare data, records, and operations from all outgoing carriers and intermediaries within its jurisdiction in accordance with the Jurisdiction Implementation Project Plan.Adhere to established deadlines in the Implementation Project Plans.Execute, and maintain a Risk Management Plan for all segments in jurisdiction.Develop, maintain, and follow Segment Cutover Plans for each segment implementation.Develop, execute, and oversee a Communication Project Plan for each segment in the jurisdiction.Organize, prepare agenda, and host implementation meetings to address all major tasks and issues.  Also document and distribute reports of all meetings.  Assist Jurisdiction Segment Managers in establishing functional workgroups and respective meetings for each segment.
