Multi-Modality Tech

Overview : Join a progressive team in Ogallala, Nebraska located near beautiful Lake McConaughy who focus on excellent patient care. A supportive team environment awaits you as a multi-modality radiology technologist. The MM Tech performs and /or assists with a wide variety of imaging procedures including studies in Cat Scan, General Radiology, and Mammography or Ultrasound. The technologist ensures high quality exams and a minimum of radiation or health exposure. Performance of these exams is to be done in a way to provide and maintain proper documentation, safety, and dignity of all patients. The technologist is accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. Pay range $17.77- $28.38.

Responsibilities :

1. Multi-modality Tech is responsible for performing radiographic and at least one other modality testing of a complex and sophisticated nature. In addition to this the technologist must perform testing procedures by following physicians' orders, using independent judgment, and applying the learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures within Medical Imaging and throughout the Banner Health.
2. Reviews films to assure adequate quality of radiographs.
3. Provides pertinent and appropriate information to all internal and external customers encountered in the performance of their duties in a manner that fosters, teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
4. Takes call as required. Trouble shoots minor equipment problems and initiates repairs.
5. Follows safety standards in all aspects of performance of the above functions, reports/removes unsafe equipment and attends safety education sessions.

Qualifications :

* Education/Experience: Certificate or diploma from an approved school of Radiology Technology. Must be in good standing with The American Registry of Radiology Technologists. Three - five years experience preferred. Maintains registry status RTR and advanced level certificate by gaining 12 or more continuing education credits per year.
* Technical Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write English. Manual dexterity and physical agility to operate all equipment and perform all procedures. Utilizes safe body mechanics to ensure patient and caregiver safety. General clerical skills required.

* Other qualifications/certificate/license:
* Current license from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
* Minimum of 12 continuing education credits per year.
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
* Current radiographer license from the State of Nebraska.
* Demonstrates behaviors consistent with BHS values, management expectations, and service standards.
