National Sales Director

A Growing Healthcare organization located in Nashville, TN is seeking a  National Director of Sales to Work with the Sr. team in the company and direct the development and launch of a new oncology drug. This person must have oncology sales experience at a Directors level, in a Oncology Franchise or company and or have a high level of experience in the Oncology sales field Managing the sales force and territories.

 

Director National Sales is responsible to:

?  Lead a national sales team through successful launch and in meeting sales targets of products in oncology

?  Direct and manage sales activities for a successful product launch.

?  Collaborate with Marketing to develop a comprehensive strategic business plan, including specific measurable action oriented objectives that support and grow franchise profitability and market share.



Core Requirements:

?  Currently managing field sales on a national level.

?  A bachelor degree, preferably in science or business is required and an MBA or advanced degree would be preferred.

?  Demonstrated successful sales leadership, with at least 5 years of solid sales/sales management, experience in oncology products, and in territory alignment.

?  Ability to read sales reports and other P&L reports and to identify opportunities to implement/change plans based on variances.

?  Experience actively participating in market development and strategic development of products in the hospital sales and or oncology area.

?  Marketing experience including segmentation of customers and developing effective targeting plans. 

?  Strong decision making skills and keen understanding of customer focused selling, medical and managed care markets, strategic planning and field sales leadership.

?  Effective in working in matrix team environment at the corporate level. 

?  Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution channels.

?  Contract management experience and managed care experience. 

?   Understanding of regulatory guidelines related to promotional activity and ability to comply with appropriate practices. 

?  Able to travel extensively to manage development of sales representatives, managers and participate in corporate team meetings.
