WellPoint is the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of approximately 28 million medical members nationwide.

Develops and maintains positive relationships with physicians, providers, and practice managers within the provider network. Provides high quality service and explains the health plans policies and procedures to physicians, providers and practice managers. Investigates and resolves issues and disputes with the network.  In addition, responsibilities include researching and supporting specific projects within the State Sponsored Business' (SSB) network support department.  Collects and gathers data to monitor provider satisfaction and provider compliance with program standards.  Work with providers and Community Resource Centers to resolve issues and provide support for web-based applications, delegated provider oversight and various other projects or tasks.  Work with department management to develop and implement work plans and interventions to ensure positive provider relations.  Facilitate and participate in internal departmental and external provider meetings. 



BS/BA preferred, plus 3-4 years experience in a claims and customer/provider service environment interacting directly with customers/providers to answer questions and provide assistance, or equivalent experience.  Network relations experienced and meeting facilitation preferred.  Experience with MS Word, Excel and Access is required.  Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, documentation and writing skills required.
