Nutrition Representative

Overview : Shift: Varied hours Responsibilities : Under the direction of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, this position is responsible to provide the highest quality patient meal service. This service includes meal and snack delivery and meal selection processes to provide optimal customer service and patient care. This position must demonstrate the ability to provide patient meal service competently to the age groups served by the department.

Qualifications :

One year prior Food and Nutrtion Service experience is required, or one year related education. Knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively, and ability to read and write English. Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must be able to work under stress of deadlines and to organize information and activities. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Ability to operate hand held computer system, and the ability to understand and follow restriction of modified diets. Requires excellent communications skills and the ability to work independently. Must have the ability to verbally communicate and problem solve with patients, families, and staff.
