PROVIDER RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Prospect Medical is actively seeking a high-energy professional to join our Provider Relations Department as our Provider Relations Coordinator.  In this role, you will be the point of contact for our Provider Relations Field Representatives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Act as a liaison between Provider Relations Representatives and internal departments Return phone calls within a 24 hour period to ensure that professional relationships are maintained Assist in the distribution of informational and educational correspondence to PCP's and Specialists at least once a month Maintain current files for each provider, including correspondence from health plans, inter-office departments, etc. Provide monthly project reports, quantifying problems solved, projects completed, and meetings attended Ensure that providers are submitting monthly encounter data by calling providers that have not submitted encounters for the previous month.  Notify the Provider Relations Representative for further assistance Log and maintain accurate records of telephone calls and correspondence with all providers in the IDX system Distribute monthly provider roster to participating providers Distribute various provider changes to appropriate internal departments

 

 

Qualifications:

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills Minimum 3 years experience in a managed care setting Strong MS Office skills with the ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm Able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
