QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor?s degree in healthcare related field required;  Master's degree preferred.  Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible health care management experience.  Thorough knowledge of hospital operations required.

 

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Vice President of Patient Care Services

 

POSITION

SUMMARY:   Contributes to the long-term growth and viability  consistent with the  Mission Statement and Strategic Plan by directing the operation of patient care activities.  The administrator is responsible for high quality, cost effective patient care with careful attention to issues of customer satisfaction.  The administrator co-chairs Patient Response Teams with physician leaders for his/her areas of responsibilities.  Patient Response Teams (PRTs) are interdisciplinary teams with membership from administration, nursing, medical staff, fiscal services, quality improvement, information services, and other clinical and/or support services as necessary.
