Product Manager, Direct to Consumer (Healthcare)

We’re looking for outgoing and highly motivated professionals to drive project plans for multiple exciting new products. The areas of focus include Direct to Consumer, Personal Health Record, Telephonic Coaching, Wellness, and Product Information. This is an excellent challenge for a results-oriented person who thrives on building something new and seeing it through to success.

 

From concept to implementation, the Product Manager will organize and lead inter-departmental teams through all stages of new programs and services. Key responsibilities include:

 
Guiding the product development process through the testing, roll-out, and evaluation to achieve goals and deliverables
Driving strategic development for selling Optum capabilities directly to consumers over the web
Devising a spend plan and managing costs, profit and loss
Working with the marketing team to coordinate action items for producing collateral
Training other team members on initiatives and goals 



QUALIFICATIONS: Substantial project management experience with large projects and/or leading multi-departmental work groups is required, along with experience in product management. Excellent writing skills and professional communication skills are key. Must be extremely organized and efficient and demonstrate exceptional motivational skills. Solid MS Office proficiency is needed. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred.

 

Any one or combination of the following would be a strong asset:

 
Healthcare industry knowledge, particularly experience as a consultant
Understanding of health and wellness from a commercial customer or consumer purchasing standpoint
Knowledge of areas of wellness focus and specific diagnoses
Telephonic coaching and/or call center experience in the healthcare field
Experience with the integration of specialized wellness programs into general health programs
Understanding of health and wellness product trends in the marketplace and related current issues
