Product Manager (Medical Devices)

SUMMARY

This individual holds primary responsibility for managing the product lifecycle for medical device interface and connectivity solutions in a global market.  Specific areas of focus include participating in product roadmap and product-related business planning, support of global product profitability, gathering data on market competition and customer feedback, managing product changes, implementing updates of product-related sales and marketing materials, driving definition of product of product training, and supporting business management initiatives. In addition, this person will be an integral part of multi-disclipinary product committees for products that are both medical and technical in .

 

Key PrioritiesManage product lifecycle to optimize clinical value and profitability to drive business growth Provide input to product concepts to leverage medical device solutions Develop tools, knowledge, and training content to help global organization become more knowledgeable and more competitive Collaborate with product team and business team to ensure global needs and interests are clearly understood and communicated Work across multiple functional areas to create high impact, thorough product releases 

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

o  Utilize product management procedures to manage the product lifecycle

o   perform competitive products analysis and define competitive strategies.

o  Communicate key product development priorities to product committee

o  Develop and deliver training programs to field and internal personnel.

o  Participate in the product release process required of medical devices, including 510(k) and various global regulatory processes

o  Monitor, analyze, summarize, and communicate global product performance; track unit volumes, average selling prices, profitability, and market share.

o  Develop and maintain appropriate product positioning by observing and analyzing market and competitive trends.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

? Minimum of bachelor?s degree in marketing, business, or health related field, with minimum of 5 years experience in medical marketing/product management. Master?s degree preferred.

? Successful track record in medical marketing of capital equipment with a high level of expertise regarding the healthcare environment including key decision makers in the capital procurement process.



  Data interfacing is a big plus, but is not required

  Clinical experience is a big plus, but is not required.

? Demonstrated ability to manage a complex network of relationships both within and outside company.

? Excellent communication and presentation skills: listening, written, verbal

? Strong sense of initiative, self-starter.

? Experience working with R&D and marketing in product development.

? Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.

? Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.

? 20-30% travel expected.
