JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Title: Product Specialist

 

 

 

Position Objective:

 

The purpose of this position is to work as a liaison between product operations and application development, manage customer projects and provide technical support to clients.  Ensure customer satisfaction and service/product quality.

 

This position will also be responsible for assisting with designing, development, and maintenance of  PostLink / Denials training materials for external and internal customers.  Deliver training in-person to external customers, over the Web, and in corporate class room settings to both external and internal customers. In addition, this person will assist with development of PostLink / Denials User Documentation and Release Notes.

 

Primary Job Functions:

Assist with development of project timelines which include development of a deployment plan and to define and determine resources required to achieve realistic deadlines defined in the client?s work plan.

Plan and deliver customer training programs. This includes development of customer specific hand-out materials, home work assignments, PostLink / Denials (FAQ) frequently asked question and answer tutorials in multiple formats that assist client in understanding the product.

Demonstrate PostLink / Denials to potential customers in support of sales and marketing presentations.

Develop assessment and outcomes surveys.  Deliver assessment and outcomes surveys for delivered training sessions.  Compile and analyze survey results to be used for continual performance enhancements.

"Own" all issues that arise at the site and to ensure that they are being addressed by the appropriate person / or task force. Personally resolve these issues when feasible and time efficient.

Ensure Medassets meets all its deadlines and tasks identified in the project workplan.

Manage the customer expectations and liaison with the Hospital Project Manager to ensure that the project is moving forward and meeting agreed upon deadlines.

Complete weekly status and issue reports to client and communicate findings with team members, 

Seeks selling opportunities and provides feedback to sales.

Monitor, evaluate and review the quality and effectiveness of onsite training, Web based training, and corporate class room training.  Responsible for reporting these findings to the Product Manager.

Maintain a Customer Request / Comment Log that list suggested enhancements.  The Customer Request Log will be shared with the Product Manager and the Manager of Software Development bi-monthly. 

Keep up to date with the evolution of PostLink / Denials functionality.

Performs tasks under limited to moderate amounts of supervision.

Adheres to MedAssets SDLC processes.

Completes other projects as assigned.

 

Minimum Knowledge and Qualifications:

 

Prefer Bachelor's degree in education, public administration, business administration, information technology or related field.

 

Prefer two years experience in course design and development for adult learners including needs analysis and delivery.

 

One year of experience developing and delivering training for adults on use of computer software applications.

 

Proficient in use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel

 

Must possess the technical skills listed below:

 MicroSoft Word ? intermediateMicroSoft Excel ? intermediateAccess ? intermediate

 

Self starter with little supervision.

 

Must be able to interact with customers.

 

80% Travel required.
