Program Manager- Bryn Mawr/duPont

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Collaborates with the Program?s Medical Director in overseeing the operations, financial management, and strategic development of the Bryn Mawr / duPont Children?s Health Program, in support of the Practice?s overall strategic plan. 

Responsible for enhancing and strengthening the working relationships between Nemours and the Bryn Main Line Health System. 

Provides on-site direction and support in the management of the daily activities, operational issues and supervision of staff.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership and administrative support to facilitate the efficient delivery of clinical and business services. 
-  Determines the need for and allocation of staff, space, capital and material resources.
-  Works collaboratively with the Office Manager and Medical Director in the selection, recruiting,
training, coaching, recognition and development of staff and physicians.

Demonstrates financial stewardship in daily operations and planning processes.
-  Oversees preparation and monitoring of budgets.
-  Demonstrates cost conscious awareness by analyzing and reporting department variances
monthly.
-  Works to maximize cash collections.  Reviews and monitors cash collection practices, deposits
  and registration activities.
-  Utilizes business services metrics to determine areas for improvement.

Maintains focus on developing the partner relationship.
-  Regularly attends joint program operational and strategic planning meetings.
-  Communicates plans, issues, concerns to partner liaisons.
-  Explores new avenues for growing market share.
-  Participates in local public relations and business development efforts (i.e. contacts with local
community, local outreach events).

Assures consistent application of customer-focused service standards.
-  Establishes and monitors service metrics.
-  Investigates and responds to customer complaints.
-  Hires service-oriented personnel.
-  Conducts routine rounds with employees focusing on process improvements and employee needs
for personal success.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

I.  Education, Training and Experience

Bachelor?s Degree required.  Masters in Business or Health Care Administration preferred.
Minimum of three years supervisory experience in health care environment required
Practice management experience preferred.
Experience with computer systems and applications required.
