Project Analyst (technical and business background)

Job Summary:

Assists in completing activities related to various projects within the Operations department. 

 

Essential Functions:Manage a variety of moderately complex project activities.  Analyze and  trend data for network access and compluance standards.Assist in all phases of project management: project planning, implementation and monitoring results.  Technical resource for converting moderately complex business issues into viable solutions through documentation and analytical sessions with matrix partners. Assist in maintaining all project related materials (e.g. action plans, tracking tools) Represent director and staff in various task forces/committees. Coordinate project activity and facilitate project meetings with staff and matrix partners. Provide technical assistance and guidance to management and associates on operational issues, process changes and activity status. Assist in the development and maintenance of various policies and procedures effecting the operations of the department.

 

Education/Experience: Bachelor?s degree preferred or equivalent directly related experience. Five to seven years project experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.  Strong functional knowledge and broad multi-functional knowledge of healthcare delivery is preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks. Provider network background is a plus.

 

Computer Skills:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access sufficient to create and manage databases. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint sufficient to communicate and create documents complex in nature. Knowledge of Microsoft Project or of a similar project planning software sufficient to document project steps and report progress is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio is preferred. Knowledge of SAS, SQL, Geo Access is a plus.

 

Working Conditions:Climate controlled environment. Occasional work during non-business hours and weekends is required.
