Provider Relations Coordinator

Position Description: This fantastic downtown Seattle organization is experiencing growth and has many new projects that they need help with!

Under the general direction of the Provider Relations Supervisor, this position is responsible to be the operational liaison The primary responsibilities involve all aspects of provider
service including, but not limited to, problem resolution relating to policies and procedures, contract negotiations for specialty care, on site educational visits and new provider orientations, and coordination with network recruitment. Additionally the incumbent to this position will focus relationship building on critical providers and other key stakeholders to ensure continued access to care and continued advocacy for plan members.

Position Requirements:

Two or more years of work experience in provider/customer service; contract negotiations and contract management. Preference will be given to experience in contracting and servicing providers in an insurance setting or provider or hospital organization. Position requires knowledge and experience in contract negotiations with various reimbursement methodologies such as fee for service and capitation.

Exceptional Customer Service skills. Knowledge of teaching and training techniques, preferably in a managed care setting. Excellent public speaking, written communication and problem solving skills. Ability to understand and communicate various services and products. Comfortable relating to the public. Effectively orienting and training providers and their office staff. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a team environment. A valid Washington State Drivers license and access to personal automobile is needed in this position.
