QA Engineer

SQL Database - QA Engineer



Full-time PERM Position

Marlborough, MA

 

As a member of the QA team, this individual will be required to write, execute, manage test specifications, and track product defects on current and future software projects. Other efforts will include contributing to the team by improving QA processes and working with engineering to improve overall product quality.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

 
Create and implement test plans, specifications and documentation
Track and verify product defects
Learn clinical terminology and new products
Actively participate in various technical and team meetings
Perform other duties as assigned. 

 
3 years experience testing Software Databases and Applications.

 

Technical experience in the following areas:

 
SQL, SQL Server, RDBMS (Relational Database) concepts experience is important. (There is transfer of data taking place from FoxPro to SQL Server 2005)
DTS, Java, HTML is a big plus
Experience working with Windows / Microsoft platforms
Strong analytical and organizational skills focusing on QA test process and its relationship to producing a quality product
Proven success in performing testing within project timeline and/or resource constraints
Ability to collaborate with others, initiate action, and take on challenging initiatives
Understanding of Medical terminology desired but not necessary
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Ability to be flexible & adaptable in a very dynamic environment
Must be highly motivated

 
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering experience required
