Quality Consultant

Fletcher Allen Health Care in scenic Burlington, Vermont is seeking a Quality Consultant.  The Quality Consultant directs organization-wide Fletcher Allen Health Care Goals & Objectives and Annual Quality Plan actualization, as well as identified strategic quality priorities/initiatives for both internal and external constituents. Consultants are responsible for achieving Quality care standards as defined by regulatory agencies, as well as regional, state and national organizations. Any risks that are identified are incorporated by consultants into, improvement plan development and strategy implementation.  The work includes the use of quality improvement tools and methodologies, project management and facilitation of quality improvement initiatives, quality indicator oversight, provision of individual and collective learning of quality methodology, and support for regulatory readiness. The Quality Consultant serves as a project manager, facilitator, and educator of multi-disciplinary Project teams. In addition, the Quality Consultant acts as liaison with Senior Leadership, Quality Councils/Committees, Department Chairs and Managers across the organization for quality indicator monitoring, identification of areas for performance improvement plan development and implementation. Consultants perform internal event analysis, using both retrospective Root Cause Analysis and pro active Failure Mode and Effects Analysis methodologies. As part of these processes they drive identification of potential risk and performance improvement plans, develop measurement tools and facilitate implementation of an enhanced processes.

 

Demonstrated expertise in use of Quality Improvement Tools and Methodologies and experience in Project Management, work flow analysis, and management of complex, multi-faceted project plans and teams.Prefer a minimum of  five years experience in a complex Health Care setting. Bachelor's of Science in Statistics, Business Administration, or health care field Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or commensurate experience preferred. Certification as a Professional in Health Care Quality Improvement desirable.
