We have opportunities in Sacramento and South Sacramento for Registered Dietitians with the following experience:

 
Inpatient (Sacramento, RD I on-call (4) and RD II part-time)
Outpatient (South Sacramento, RD II full-time)

 

The primary patient population served includes those from Medicine, surgery, OB/GYN and Pediatrics.Primary clinical activities within the departments are: Standard services to include screening for nutritional risk/need for nutrition intervention and patient meal service, and specialized services to include inpatient clinical nutrition assessments and reassessments, enteral and parenteral nutrition, calorie counts and nutrient analysis, documentation and provision of supplements, patient and family education, outpatient and home health referrals/follow-up.

 

You will work with a team of highly trained specialists.  Patient care needs are screened and assessed by Registered Dietitians (RD) and Nutrition Assistants (under direction of the RD) assisted by the Site Manager, Nutrition Aides, Clerks, Registered Nurse, Nursing Unit Assistant, Pharmacist, Social Services staff and physicians. 

 

The Education & Certification Requirements: 

RD I:  BS/BA degree. 

RD II:  Master?s Degree or Fellowship with the American Dietetic Association (ADA) or CDR approved certifications for consecutive re-certification periods.  RD I & RD II:  Both must have current registration as a dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) in good standing.
