Relief, day shift 10 am-7 pm, various days
Description:
RECOVERY PACU C.N.A. provides patient and family focused care as part of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with SCMC mission, philosophy, policies, and procedure within the parameters established by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, standards, and techniques and applies this knowledge in accordance with SCMC policies and procedures and within laws and regulations governing nursing practice in the State of Oregon.
Ability to multi task between 3 areas within 1 department. Ability to transfer post-op patients, assist in dressing and receive direction well. Ability to manuver stretcher by self and transport patients between units and to car.
Requirements:
Education - Graduate of an accredited certificate program for Certified Nursing Assistant.
Registration - Current licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing for Certified Nursing Assistant. BLS required.
Experience - Basic Care Associate skills required.
Job Knowledge - Concepts of medical and surgical asepsis and the disease process. Basic knowledge of psychosocial concepts and problem-solving skills preferred. Excellent communication skills required (both oral and written). People Centered Teams training within six months of hire.
Computer Literacy: Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
