In 1912, community leaders established St. John's Regional Medical Center to meet the needs of the thousands of residents who had settled on the Oxnard plains, which is located in California's celebrated Strawberry Coast in the heart of sunny year-round weather. The hospital grew from a six-room wooden structure to a 266-bed modern healthcare center. With our partner facility, nearby St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital, we employ 1,900 people and count 250 active medical staff. The Risk/Safety Analyst maintains compliance for licensure and accreditation surveys, provides support for JCAHO functional leaders, and facilitates problem solving with regulatory agencies. Specifically the Risk/Safety Analyst supports the hospital Patient Safety and Accreditation programs through various methods of facilitation, data collection, analysis and corrective action promoting continuous quality improvement activities.
To be qualified, you must possess an Associate or Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field and have a minimum of three (3) years recent experience in an acute care facility; prefer previous quality improvement/regulatory
background. You must also possess knowledge of JCAHO and Title XXII requirements, competency in Word processing and spreadsheet programs, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
