RN Admissions Manager

Responsible for assisting in the development of census for both long term care and sub-acute care:

Assesses inquiries, facilitates admission decisions, runs facility tours, financially qualifies LTC referral candidates,

collects pre-payments for LTC residents, and responds to referral inquiries in a timely manner;

Ensures an immediate response to phone, fax, and walk-in inquiries, scheduled tours and referral sources;

Communicates admissions criteria and availability to referral sources, customers and families;

Conducts follow-up on all inquiries which have not yet been converted to admissions and maintains a waiting list with

follow-up as required; Works with all appropriate staff to ensure consistent, effective movement of beds to maintain

highest occupancy and correct census mix.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

? Minimum five (5) years experience in a healthcare environment.

? Computer experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and medical billing packages.

? Knowledge of basic nursing home, sub-acute and hospice billing requirements.

? Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

? Must have a Virginia RN license
