Reimbursement Specialist

Description: 

North Alpharetta medical supply company seeks individual that is a highly organized, goal and detail-oriented team player for a full time, entry-level position. Strong computer and communication skills are a must.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:Managing patient accounts receivables: Collections of aging accounts Posting Cash Receipts Post-payment reviews Claims processingSystem updates and reports Assist other carrier specialist as needed Assisting in the set-up of claims transmission and review processes.  Conduct claim reviews via telephone or written correspondence. Perform follow-up actions and communication with customers. Maintenance of patient records including electronic files. Time management of daily responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

Excellent oral and written communications.

Strong computer skills including MS Office Programs, billing programs, and customized software.

Ability to multi-task and organize priorities.

 


Medical claims experience preferred with an understanding of medical terminology (HCPC and ICD-9 Coding) and medical claims processing (CMS 1500 Form) and knowledge of provider fee schedules. 

Bilingual: English / Spanish preferred.
