Health Outcomes Research Analyst

HealthCore, Inc., a health outcomes research firm located in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Research Analyst to join our dynamic company.   Founded in 1996, and now an independently-operating subsidiary of WellPoint, HealthCore provides the health care system and the biopharmaceutical industry with naturalistic "real-world" data on the value of various interventions in diverse patient populations. HealthCore’s projects range from traditional claims-based retrospective analyses to large-scale, prospective studies.  

 

 

Responsibilities:Performing prospective and retrospective health economic research activities under the direction of the project manager. Supporting research activities for HO project managers in at least two of the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting (with respect to statistical results) Collaborating with the project managers to support the research functions that bring high quality reports deliverables, presentations, and other milestones to fruition. Utilizing industry standard health economic analytical and statistical techniques

 



Qualifications:

This position requires a B.S., M.S., Pharm.D., M.D., or relevant education and/or equivalent training in health service research, epidemiology or a related field.  Relevant experience in conducting health service research is preferred.  Strong study design and statistical analysis skills and proficiency with one or more statistical applications (SAS, Stata) are required.  Experience with health plan administrative databases (pharmacy and medical claims) and economic modeling is preferred.
