Constella Group is seeking an experienced Research Specialist for its Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate for this position would be one who writes or has written for CDC or HHS publications in chronic disease.

Essential Functions:
Functions as lead in the preparation of reports, literature reviews, environmental scans or other comprehensive reports critical to program planning
Searches for, collects and assembles information for use in literature reviews and other reports which are often complexPlans and produces literature reviews for complex public health program planning
Uses analytical techniques to identify, consider and resolve issues or problems related to the development of reports
Participates as member of strategic planning team and informs others of information relevant to strategic planning
Performs quality check for various written project related documents to ensure information is complete and accurate
Proposes problem-solving resolution as needed
Works closely with other team members to inform and guide program direction Utilizes knowledge obtained through literature searches to inform others in the development of program designs
Demonstrate significant innovation in approaching difficult problems that impact project development
Possess knowledge in the program/subject area being supported, with focus on public health, environmental health and other related areas
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously; work effectively as a team member and independently

Experience and Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word
Very strong writing skills, preferably for CDC publications and background reports
Background in chronic disease is preferred
Skilled in producing major reports, including literature reviews (at a professional level, not at an intern or graduate school level)
Must be extremely familiar with the culture of CDC and the interconnections between the public health sectors
