JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Respiratory Care Level 2 Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and

evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of an assigned group of patients.  Specific age groups are


identified in the principal duties and job responsibilities section. 


Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in


maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. 


 





KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:



 

ABG Puncture Analysis and Quality Control, Adult & Pediatric Experience, Airway Management, Basic Spirometry,

CPR, Equipment Calibration, Chest Physiotherapy, Aerosol Therapy, IPPB Therapy, Incentive Spirometry, MDI Treatment,

Oral, Nasal and Tracheal Suctioning, Routine Respiratory Modalities, Sputum Inductions, Utilize and Adapt to State of the Art

Technology, Computer Systems and Computer Applications, Effective Oral and Written Communication.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

· Graduate of a respiratory or cardiopulmonary science program

 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

 

· Must hold certification and be registry eligible as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

· Must have a current license or temporary certificate issued by the State of Florida, Department of Health,

Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
