Risk Management Coordinator

The Nemours Children's Clinic is seeking a seasoned Risk Management Coordinator to coordinate all aspects of a risk management program. The opening is at our site in Jacksonville, Florida. This individual will be responsible for:

? Establishing a process, in collaboration with management and staff, for proactive risk assessment of the Clinic
? Receiving incident reports and other information regarding untoward occurrences in the Clinic
? Collating information systematically and analyzing and communicating information in a timely manner
? Receiving complaints and determining if complaint is a potentially compensable event related to professional or general liability
? Transmitting claim information to claims and litigation manager
? Collaborating with clinic managers to resolve complaints prior to escalation
? Identifying, evaluating and reporting trends in preventable occurrences
? Educating and acting as a resource to all staff in reducing and eliminating liability exposures
? Conducting investigations and preparing findings which efficiently communicate results to appropriate staff
? Disseminating information on risk control, legislative and regulatory changes.
Job Qualifications:
Qualified candidate will possess:
? Florida license as a Health Care Risk Manager required. RN, CPHRM or ARM desirable but not required
? Bachelor's degree in health related field, Master's degree preferred
? Experience with organizationwide risk management or related experience required
? Minimum five years progressively more responsible experience in health care
? Strong communication skills with demonstrated negotiation, presentation and facilitation skills
? Ability to work independently and as a member of a geographically disbursed team
