Security Analyst

Vaco Technology is looking for a Information Technology Security Analyst for three-month, contract-to-hire opportunity in Columbia, MD.

The Security Analyst will assist with the implementation and administration of enterprise information security policies and procedures; assist the Director of Information Security with implementation of the organization's security architecture; define security requirements as the technical security liaison for technical and application systems implementations; perform security risk and vulnerability assessments; propose and design security mechanisms to meet business and regulatory requirements; play a lead role in the assessment, evaluation and implementation of security processes and technologies and configure and validate secure systems.

The qualified candidate will have 5 years of experience in information security or network security/administration in a LAN/WAN/mainframe environment; BS or BA degree in information systems or equivalent and strong analytic, communication and writing skills. IT certifications such as CISSP, SANS/GIAC and vendor certifications such as Novell, Microsoft, Sun, Checkpoint, and Symantec are desirable.
