We are currently seeking a Specimen Processor to process manual and link requests, aliquot samples, sort and prepare samples for pick up by reference laboratory staff, or deliver samples to the reference laboratory for assay set up

 

The Specimen Processor job is complex and requires good organization skills and ability to learn and understand specimen types related to test(s) ordered by client. The SPT must have to the ability learn and understand the compliance regulations related to test ordering which may change on a daily basis.

 

To qualify, you must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to work well independently in a fast-paced production environment. We also require:High school diploma (or equivalent)Strong data entry experience with the ability to type 4,000 keystrokes per minute with two or less errors Experience in a laboratory environment or a production setting preferred. Medical background extremely helpful, which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratoryAbility to sit or stand for long periods of timeAbility to handle shift work with required overtime, including weekend work
