Surgical Services Manager

Overview : Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, California is situated at the foot of the scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains. This 25-bed acute care facility is located in the northeast corner of California near the Nevada and Oregon borders. Responsibilities :

The Surgical Services Manager oversees all aspects of the three OR suites. This includes assisting in achieving goals for strategic initiatives, core measures, and Banner Health clinical quality initiatives. The manager provides leadership for the department in developing people, providing service excellence, delivering quality patient care, meeting financial targets, and promoting growth of services. The manager must keep current in best patient care practices, licensure and certification in basic cardiac life support as well as the organization's mandatory educational sessions including HIPAA, and corporate compliance. The manager must be able to develop, implement, and monitor compliance of pertinent policies and procedures. The manager participates and conducts meaningful performance improvement and strives for sustained improvement. The manager attends required committee/department/staff meetings regularly.

Qualifications :

Current CA RN Licenss, required; BCLS, required; 3 to 5 years prior experience as an Surgical Services supervisor/manager, required; excellent customer service, requred.
